Replace the reservation book with a planner the whole team sees live.
A digital reservation book replaces the paper book with a planner on a tablet. With Resatop, the team sees the time slots and how full they are, adds bookings taken by phone or at the door, checks guests in, and guests book online by themselves. Every open device updates live.

In the rush, paper book or planner.
| During service | Paper book | Resatop |
|---|---|---|
| The phone rings | You leaf through the book to see if there is room | The planner shows how full each time slot is; “+” adds the booking, and the guest record is found by email, then by phone |
| A guest books online | The request has to be copied into the book | It lands in the planner by itself, with its confirmation email |
| Several people need the book | A single copy, in a single place | Every open device (tablet, computer, phone) shows the same thing, live |
| A guest cancels or changes | You cross out and rewrite | They do it themselves through a link, within the time limit you set, and you get an email |
| A no-show | You remember it, or not | Recorded in one tap, counted on the guest record |
| The network drops out | No effect: paper does not depend on it | The screen keeps the last state received and flags the outage; the day's book can be printed to keep paper on the floor |
Quotas, or a floor plan.
- Quotas: a number of covers per time slot and per service, weekday and weekend templates, closures and special openings. A time slot or a service can be marked full without cancelling existing bookings.
- Dining room capacity: how many covers can be seated at once, based on meal length, so a time slot is only offered if there is room for the whole meal.
- Floor plan: you draw the dining room and terrace, place your tables, and drag each booking onto a table with your finger. The booking page only offers a time slot if a table is free.
- Step-by-step setup is explained in the help page.

In three steps.
Step 1 · Setup
You set your services and capacity
You define your services, their hours, a quota of covers per time slot and, if you want, how many covers can be seated at once. Or you draw your dining room and terrace table by table: you can return to quotas whenever you want, the plan is kept.
Step 2 · During service
Your team runs the planner in service
On the tablet, time slots show how full they are. A “+” button adds a booking taken by phone, “Arrived” checks the table in, “No-show” flags it. Every open device sees the change within seconds.
Step 3 · Guest side
Guests book by themselves
The booking page only offers time slots with room left, and the guest changes or cancels through a link. Bookings arrive in the planner without anyone copying them out.

What the product does today, and what it does not: better to know before you try it.
- No offline planner. If the network drops out, a “Connection lost” banner appears after a few seconds and the screen keeps the last state received. Changes are sent when the network comes back only if the page stays open: reloading loses them.
- If our servers do not respond, the booking page shows your restaurant's phone number instead of the time slots.
- The planner runs in a browser (tablet, computer, phone): there is no native app.
- No week view or waiting list today: the planner shows one day at a time.
- No import of an existing book: upcoming bookings are re-entered. A switch-over checklist guides you.
- Your team's entries never block on capacity: going over a quota asks for confirmation, and you decide.
Frequently asked questions
Another question? Write to us.
Do I need a floor plan to use the digital book?
No. By default, you set quotas of covers per time slot, and you can limit how many covers are seated at once based on meal length. If you prefer, table mode lets you draw your dining room and terrace, place each booking on a table by dragging it with your finger, and only offer online the slots where a table is free for the whole meal.
What happens if the network drops out mid-service?
The planner shows “Connection lost” after a few seconds and keeps the last state received. As long as the page stays open, your changes are sent by themselves when the network comes back; reloading the page loses them. There is no offline planner. If our servers do not respond, the booking page shows the restaurant's phone number.
How do I add a booking taken by phone?
With the planner's “+” button. The guest record is found by email, then by phone. Your team's entries never block: if the quota or capacity is exceeded, the planner warns you and asks for confirmation.
Can I bring over the bookings from my paper book?
There is no automatic import. Your upcoming bookings are re-entered from the planner, and a switch-over checklist guides you: links to replace on Google, your website and your social networks, a test booking, alerts.
Which devices does the planner run on?
In a browser: it is designed first for a tablet shared on the floor, and also works on a computer and a phone. There is no native app to install.
Can I still print the day's book?
Yes. The planner's “Print” button prints the day's book on paper, for example as a backup on the floor.
